Really like the idea of a team with tons of cap also taking on Skinner to make it more enticing to move Eichel. People seem to forget that up until his second year in Buffalo, Skinner was a genuinely good player. We could have an OEL situation where he rebounds with a new team. Seeing as you also gave Ottawa a second, I assume your deal is for Eichel and then Buffalo pays you to take Skinner, which if that is the case then its a no go. Not enough for Eichel. Definitely a decent idea

I think it's a total nonstarter to take Skinner. That deal is absolutely crippling. The Sens have to pay Norris this summer, and Stützle the year after, they can't afford a 9 million dollar cap tumor. I don't think any team in the league would take Skinner to get Eichel, and from a Sabres perspective It doesn't really make sense to dampen the return for Eichel that drastically (idk if Buffalo even gets that much if Skinner is in the deal) especially given the Sabres are gonna be rebuilding through the bulk of that deal anyway. They've probably got a minimum of another 3-4 years in this new rebuild, and after that a Skinner buyout will be manageable.

Skinner is still a good player. Watch him and see for yourself

Skinner is a decent player he was just sandbaged by Kruger. If a team pairs him up with Eichel they have great chemistry. But I don't think the Sabers will trade them together that's 19 million in cap. They are better off keeping Skinner for now
