December 3rd is the earliest Kane can come back, I bet his days are over in San Jose.

Probably. Depends on the price and return of course. I cant see them paying much to be rid of him while he technically can play and be good on the ice

So nothing along the lines of Bordeleau, Robins, Weisblatt, or a 1st-rounder right? I feel like BUF can easily facilitate something like this if SJ had any appetite for it.

If I had to guess Kane's career in Sharks is over. They'll probably put him to waivers and buy him out next summer if the NHL doesn't allow them to terminate the contract.

Can't see him returning to a locker room who doesn't want him there.

No other team wants him. So he remains a 7m Sharks cap hit.
Don't want him sent to the minors infecting young players.
So, he sits at home, or he plays as a Shark.
IMO, he plays as a Shark.

The sharks can’t afford to make a trade like that, they don’t enough organizational depth to just move away from a likely top pick or a quality prospect. Plus Kane had a m-ntc I doubt he would want to go back to Buffalo. I’d rather just scratch him and pay him than pay up assets honestly.

He'll be put on waivers then bought out this summer. There is no way he puts on a teal jersey ever again

Only one of those I would consider is a 1st. those three prospects are going to be very important when the likes of Bonino and Cogliano are gone. Especially Bordeleau if Hertl does depart this year, we will need Bords.

BUF would take it. We have too much cap space. SJ in a tough spot here though. They could really use the picks to keep building but the situation is not great.

JUst seeing how happy the team is without him, how much better they are in a small sample size, they are clearly the happiest theyve been since Pavs left with Kane gone. I just don't see him suiting up for SJ ever again unless he undergoes MAJOR life changes. It's best in the short term that he sits out the year though. I do think if all else fails Wilson will bite the bullet and buy him out this coming offseason. The players have even stated the chemistry in the room is the best it's been in years and they're playing for each other finally. The way Timo and Karl look, I would hate to see that disrupted plus the negativity Kane would bring to Dahlen and Eklund...Not worth it.

I watched him play a bit with Djurgarden and have to say his ability to make plays is crazy. He'll find a way.

I thought eklund should have been top 2 this year. Kid is going to be elite. sharks nailed this pick.

Relating to kane... after the comments from MULTIPLE sharks players, i dont see how this guy ever suits up for them again. If his gambling debts outweigh his future earnings i dont see how any party is okay with that.

SJ Management has made some awful contractual decisions in the past years, this we know. But if they want to do something RIGHT, they will keep this guy away from the team for good. The fans will be disgusted if he comes back and bye-bye ticket sales.

modified NTC. so either trade him to a team on his list let him get fresh start there or throw him in the Ahl

They would do good to keep him away from the organization in general. They can buy him out. Sharks AHL is in the same building and his toxicity would still be affecting future Sharks. Buyout or trade is best.
