I wouldn't mind the Jets picking up Kravstov, but they shouldn't need to overpay so drastically for a player that has asked to be traded and can't crack the Rangers lineup.

The price will be kind of steep as he is wicked talented. I am definitely intrigued. Probably would instantly be the 2nd best right handed winger on the Jets lol

Yeah, I think he's alright, but not being able to crack the Rangers lineup says a lot about him.

As soon as Gallant said he had his best 23 (meaning Hajek>Kravtsov) you know not to take it seriously/it had nothing to do with his level of play

As a Jets fan, although its an overpay, I do like this trade. We will see how he plays.

I also like this lineup, except Harkins and Copp should be swapped. Harkins and Lowry showed some great chemistry last night.

Copp showed last night he doesn't belong in a fourth-line role.

I also like the idea of Perfetti being in the top 6. He's better defensively than Connor. Last night Connor proved that he's not capable defensively, he's all offense.

Overpay, shouldn't be parting with Gustafsson either.

When you say "wicked talented" do you mean in theory? At what level did he last impress you? He had good numbers in the MHL but since then KHL wasnt impressive ... AHL wasnt impressive.? seem like a guy people want to be better than he realistically is

He's doing good, its just that Maurice isn't giving him enough minutes. Mostly has played 3rd and 4th line. Some powerplay minutes as well.

He was great in the KHL, among the league leaders in high danger chances created

"great" imo would be a ppg player or something along those lines. Jaskin was one of the best players over there and he barely was a bottom 6 guy in the NHL. Maillet was a lifer in the AHL and currently one of the best players in the KHL.... Kravtsov is younger but a talented kid would be able to produce more than a life time AHLer?

Points aren't indicative of how good a player is, you should know this

Very true but thats also its situational . He was drafted to be a massive point producing winger .. theres nothing wrong with be a good NHL player or being great at playing both sides of the puck but if im paying what is suggested here i would want a point pig

The original point of his 2nd KHL stint according to both him and the rangers was to improve his all around game (stick work, forechecking, backchecking) and by all accounts he did all those things and got better offensively, but the points didn't show because no one he played with could finish

fair enough. Thought his 2nd stint in the KHL was bc of the shortened NHL season much like Protas did with the Capitals

Yes, that's what the Jets need- another winger so that they could play one of the better wingers in the entire NHL even less than before.

Here's what I think the Jets should get, tell me if you think I'm on to something- how about a C and winger that can excel defensively so that you don't have to put out the worst defensive C and winger? Thoughts boys?

Trust me every single jets fan has clamoured for a long time now for Ehlers to get 1st line mins. Unfortunately Paul Maurice is a terrible coach
