Is that a Ducks podcast? Because this is terrible for Anaheim.

Makes no sense for Buffalo either, probably why no one has ever heard of them

Why would Anaheim do this trade? HORRIBLE for them. Sabres cannot ask top dollar for a player who doesn't want to stay in Buffalo (just like Kravtsov and the Rangers). Still stand behind my statement that the Sabres won't get a better offer than the one that was offered by the Rangers during the off season and Adams rejected.

To NYR:
Jack Eichel

To BUF:
Vitali Kravtsov
Filip Chytil
Alexandar Georgiev
Zac Jones

If both the NY deal and the proposed Ana deal were on the table I take the Ana deal. Drysdale and Comtois trump what NY offered. Dahlin, Power and Drysdale would solidify the Sabres defense for years. Henrique I understand but I can't see him waiving his M-NTC for Buffalo. Those 3 Dmen in front of Gibson would be interesting. NRD said Comtois was in the GM's doghouse which only an Ana fan can comment on but NRD said it was a fact. Gibson makes the trade interesting as UPL who is supposed to be the future in net for the Sabres hasn't shown much to this point in my opinion, still young so I'm not saying to give up on him.
I do think the Sabres add a little something like a prospect.

Sabres dont need zac jones or georgiev at all. This or some variation has been proposed a million times. Its awful, thats why it hasnt happened.

Mactavish makes more sense to me than drysdale. Not interested in gibson, are we saying gibson has sick value or hes a cap dump here, i cant tell anymore.

Let’s just listen to NRD when he has rumors cuz suggesting ANA moving 4 of 5 of their best trade pieces for Eichel is how you become a bad team for a long time.

That trade is terrible for Buffalo. Kravtsov can now be had for basically free, 0 need for Jones, Georgiev is a 1 year stop gap backup, Chytil is a 3rd line center

Yes it does.

They could get a couple 1st round picks for Gibson if they don't want him ... and a 2nd for Henrique if they retained.

You don't think Buffalo would be happy with:

Jamie Drysdale
Maxime Comtois
2022 round 1 pick (ANA)
2022 round 1 pick (TBD)
2023 round 1 pick (TBD)
2023 round 2 pick (TBD)

I think they'd crap their pants with joy.

Who do you think is giving up 2 first round picks for gibson? I think youre counting chickens that havent hatched here.

Someone who wants one of the best goalies in the NHL signed to a reasonable cap hit ....

Colorado just gave up a 1st + Timmins (32nd overall) + 3rd for one year of Darcy Kuemper (who is 3 years older than Gibson).

They dont need Drysdale, anyone offers a Drysdale equivalent forward, this trade gets beat easy

Thank God none of these Duck-gutting deals has any chance of coming true.
