At this point all cap should be used only for improvements to the team, not weaponizing it and acquiring cap dumps. We are entering our window soon and should work on getting better now, particularly on D. I really don't like having several million dollars of dead cap on the books for the next 4 years. Maybe buy out one year of Zaitsev/Murray if necessary, but White should honestly still have value, especially to a team like Arizona or Buffalo (at LEAST neutral at the very worst). And buying out anyone before the last year of their deal is a waste given the cap flexibility we have now but will not have later.

keep your money for your young players like colorado. don't do what toronto did.
