”Hard pass” on the Florida trade? Okay… you need actual dollars to be at minimum going forward, so what does it matter if his contract is **** for 5 more years, you get 2 (!) 1st round picks, a 2nd and two solid prospects, especially Heponiemi offensively. That’s incredibly stupid of Florida to offer, and Buffalo would be crazy not to take it. For sure they will not be competitive until 4-5 years either way. If they don’t draft both Wright and Bedard/Michkov.

Islanders definitely says no, we don’t need Olofsson and even if we did, not at that price. He’s a powerplay specialist, as I said before. Is ”’meh” on 5v5, barely noticeable.

You do know the Sabres have their own players to pay right? Not to mention they could spend that money on better players and improve the team. They arent in a 5 year rebuild

The isles simply have no spot for Oloffson. Their only target right now would be a LD.

He's not "amazing" 5v5 I can promise you that. Check out his underlying numbers the last 2 years or something. Yeah, he's got a tremendous shot but doesn't drive play at all.

Without Eichel, you would be under the cap, and with Dahlin signed, which players will cost that much so you can't take on Bobrovsky's contract for the next couple of years? You are in a rebuild, look at what Arizona has been doing, brilliant work from them considering their position. Buffalo absolutely should do the same for the next couple of years. Or do you suggest that Cozens and Powers contracts going forward will put you at 82.5 mil+? Ridiculous. Additional 2 1sts, a 2nd, and at least one enticing prospect for not taking on Bobrovskys contract when you are absolute **** and will be, going forward with zero expensive players outside of Skinner and barely Dahlin. Smh.

I wrote 4-5 years, but if you believe this team will be spending to the cap and be a contender in 5 years, god bless you. You couldn't even be competitive with Eichel, Hall, Reinhart and so on. But sure, Quinn, Peterka, Cozens, Rosén, Ruotsalainen, Asplund and Thompson will make you a contender in 5 years.

Absolutely awful florida trade. Nobody should have a 10 million dollar goalie.

Just dont need another anchor with Bobrovsky. Skinner is stupid enough as is. That's all. 19 million dollars for 12 goals and a 3.10 GAA is suicide.

Wright and Michkov baby. Living life by the pulling of lottery balls is electric. EDIT: Been doing it for 8 years you should try it.

So the Sabres trade Eichel and Olofsson to get 4 first round and 2 second round picks.
Oh yes we also get Beniers who many think is as good as if not better than Power.
In the mean time we have our #1 GK Bobrovsky .917 lifetime and ytd .944 SV%
