Sabres fans probably deserve a bit of "nice" in their lives after the past while, and I love seeing Anderson play well, but let's not forget that they've played the Habs (Who most would consider as a non-playoff team), the Yotes (who most would consider as the team that will battle with Buffalo for worst in the league), and the Canucks (who are also pretty bad).

If the plan isn't to tank Buffalo should invest in a chef for Craig Anderson

Remove the biggest distraction and by removing eichel also remove expectations on being better it just allows the players to go out and play their game it’s paying off. This is why I’ve said countless times the return they get for eichel doesn’t need to be massive to improve this team just removing that big black cloud he’s caused will have a very positive effect. I’m not suggesting give eichel away but temper expectations on the return as your already seeing some of it. They will likely stink again in the very near future but I could see multiple little steaks like this threwout the year and that should be seen as progress.

I've seen the argument a lot that we beat lower tier teams but honestly, doing that is something that we've struggled with over the past few years. So beating teams that maybe we "should" beat is a nice improvement

For sure. It's a good start. Nice to see Anderson do well to start, guy is a gem.

They certainly seem to be enjoying playing hockey again.
While we can all site the competition for being 3-0 let's look at the many positives as well.
Can you imagine the defense is so deep a 26 yo who averages 37 pts in an 82 game season is the SEVENTH D-MAN.
The PK is 3-0, three games no goals against.
If the PK faltered in the Yotes game they lose instead of winning OT.
Skinner scored from his knees, do I need to say more?
They won 53.7% of the FO and have the 8th best % in the league.
They seem to be having fun. Let's remember we play hockey.
How about a head coach who has a sister who is the better hockey player, LOL
I wonder what would happen if we could get Phil the Thrill Kessel?
He carried his line in Pittsburgh, imagine him on a line with Skinner!
Move Hinostroza down two lines so Bjork can play on his natural LW, replacing Caggiula.
Let's buckle our seatbelts because I think it will be a wild ride the rest of the season.
BTW here is a dirty little secret:
In the last 28 games with Eichel in the line up the Sabres are 7-18-3 with 4 shut outs and one game scoring more than 5 goals
In the last 25 games the Sabres without Eichel in the line they are 12-11-2 with 2 shut outs and 7 games scoring more than 5 goals
