I dont think that Skinner can be the 3rd tendy we need to trade for another with stalock out

If smith is out like 3 weeks (which would me max) and skinner starts 4 or 5 games out of 11or 12 you are perfectly fine.

This year is crucial to see what skinner has in him since next year he can’t be sent down without waivers which I’d be absolutely stunned if clears. This call up id be looking to give him the Philly game early next week. It’s on home ice so we control the match ups and it’s not a divisional opponent directly competing for playoff spot.

I agree. Play him now because they might have to actually rely on him next year due to cap.

We need a different goaltender anyway. koskinen can be our 3rd string and Rittich can be a solid backup

Skinner was literally insane against an almost entire kraken starting roster. And just had a 36 save shutout a couple days ago. He's ready

I don't see NSH trading Rittich this early into the season, but he will be available towards the deadline.

I don't see why everybody is so sour on koskinen. He had a bad year beacause he played 12 games in a row last year he is a very good backup. most backups have about a .907 SV% koskinen has been consistently above that at about .912

It’s completely possible he takes the starter job him and smith have been battling it out for a couple years its gone back and forth. Just last year kosk was dealt an impossible task and smith got red hot right around the same time the d started to play decent. Start of last year was incredibly unfair to kosk wasn’t just the crazy schedule no other goalie around but name one d that started last year even ok. They all were out of sync and left kosk on an island by himself non stop.

hes an inconsistant overpaid backup, it wouldnt be bad if he was paid even half of his AAV
