We Are Currently on Pace to Give Up 451 Goals Which Would Be A Record

Created by: Jrader17
Team: 2021-22 Arizona Coyotes
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 22, 2021
Published: Oct. 22, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Kessel wants to play for a contender... the Stars can't score (like always)... Jake Oettinger is wasting away in the AHL .. Khudobin is at least a real NHL goalie.. it's a cap neutral transaction.

2nd rounder is decent value for Kravtsov and Beagle is at least an okay 13th forward. 50% retained it's almost a cap neutral transaction. Yotes can give Kravtsov all the minutes he wants.. worth a shot.

it’ll be alright.

Lambert, Savoie or anyone else in the top 10 isn’t a bad consolation prize either.

Yeah, when they announced they'd be rolling with Hutton and Vejmelka, my immediate thought was "Historically bad".

Yeah even average so far by chance against too

Almost entirely the goaltending's fault

Bonkers

I am on board for this.

Would love to see the clash between Kessel and the suffocating system preached by Bowness.

I mean, they absolutely have a terribly mediocre roster, but Carter Hutton is so bad. Through 96 minutes so far this season, his GSAA 1.1 off from his worst season, which was awful in itself.

Seems like a bad deal for the Yotes...rebuilding and trading away a rental that, especially retained, could net some decent young assets.

Agree. In your position, you should trade Kessel for picks and/or prospects. The value will depend solely on Kessel's production this year. If he produce and if you retain, he could give you a decent return.

He did win a Cup and was close to the Connie Smythe at that time.

Phil da thrill won’t fix the scoring issue in Dallas. The scoring issue isn’t a personnel problem. It’s a symptom of the system. Hot dog boy would be a 4RW under Bones and we already have one of those with Guri. So no thanks

My only counter to this is that there is losing and there is all caps embarrassing LOSING which is what we're experiencing right now. Which I think breeds a longer lasting stink that some might want to admit.. like last night against Edmonton for the first 25 minutes of the game Yotes outplayed them significantly Koskinen was playing well and then Vejmelka gives up two softies and mentally the team was just shot. I think at least having a goalie who can keep you in a few games and maybe steal one or two would be good to help players like Chychrun and Keller keep progressing. Hayton (once he's got his feet back under him in Tucson after his pre-season injury) will be up, Soderstrom etc. It'll help on those guys could at least taste a few wins and feel competitive.

I think with Khudobin this is still the worst team in the league so you're not gonna lose out on Wright but at least you're not getting your head absolutely kicked in every night.
