Is this correct:

COL receives: Eichel for 8.5 mil (BUF), Bolduc (NYI), Koivula (NYI),
BUF receives: Newhook (COL), Compher (COL), Komarov (NYI), Olausson, a first (NYI), a second (COL), and a third (COL)
NYI recieves: Girard (COL)

Imo, Isles need to send way more

I was debating that too but wanted to get initial thoughts. What do you suggest?

If what I said above is correct, the Isles get Girard and that's it in the end seems like they would say no. Also, why do the Isles need another defenseman.

They need a top four puck moving dman very bad.

Isles problems would be solved if Trotz played his top 3 defenseman (pelech,Pulock, and Dobson) a lot more than chara/Greene, the issue is Trotz is trying to force chara into a 2nd pair role

BUF isn’t retaining, That NYI trade is god awful for COL neither prospect is appealing and why in the world would the Avs want Komorov.

They dont, its a 3 team trade. Maybe read through it instead of just running straight for the comments to **** on the acgm.

Obviously there is going to be disagreements on value and stuff but overall for a three team trade I think this is a pretty well thought out trade concept, well done.

One I read it, all zero words in the description. I was trying to critique as politely as possible. COL getting destroyed in the NYI trade is ridiculous to the point of who cares what the bullish!t package is that comes from BUF. So instead of telling me what I should do you should come up with some way to refute what I’m saying. You know like how COL should trade a 23yr old top pairing dman on a long term team friendly deal, a premium prospect, most recent 1st rd pick who was awesome in camp and is tearing up the OHL, a 1st rd pick and a solid versatile veteran who is a lock for 30pts every season. Yeah the whole thing sucks.

Im not saying its a good trade for COL. What im saying is you have to look at what youre getting total compared to what youre giving up total.

They are getting freaking jobbed for a guy that honestly at best plays in the post season. 2 PREMIUM assets in Girard and Newhook, 2 high end assets in Olausson and the 1st, 2 good assets in the 2nd and Compher (and don’t try the bs that Compher is a cap dump he isn’t) and a 3rd. For a guy with a serious question mark and 2 prospects that even if the trade went through wouldn’t be in at best the 3rd best prospect at their positions. That is a ton to give up off not just the current roster but the future roster. Not a fan of it.

I get all that but you are trading Girard for a late 1st a 4th liner and 2 b prospects, he is worth significantly more. Justifying a bad trade because you end up with Eichel is what bad GM’s do.

And you create a situation where next season you have $25M for 2 goalies, 2 dmen, and 4 forwards including what $6M for Kuemper because you can’t lose him for nothing after the price they paid.

Would it be awesome to have Eichel as the 2C absolutely, but even at $8.5M and MacKinnon at his current hit you have $40.5M tied up in 5 players, not really ideal for any sort of depth. I’ll take the 6 pieces traded away over a potential question mark all day.

How many more times do you want me to say it. I DONT THINK COLORADO SHOULD DO THIS DEAL. Im not justifying this trade at all. I was just saying that you were analyzing it wrong at the beginning bc it was 1 trade instead of 2 seperate ones. That doesnt mean that i think it would be good for COL if they did this, bc i dont. I think they lose this trade big time.
