Description
despite winning last night, I still thought the Jets played pretty bad. They have a difficult time controlling pucks and for the life of me I don't understand why they never use the middle of the ice on breakouts. With that being said there are a few line changes I think the team could make to see if that sparks better play. While the Jets certainly haven't been great defensively to start the year, that's not what i'm most concerned about. The lack of offence generated at 5v5 is more alarming to me, as they rank worst in the league in xG at 5v5.

To me the Dillon-Pionk pair has been our worst pair, it has played pretty bad honestly. I decided to pair up Morrissey and Pionk to see if that can create more of a offensive spark for the team. I feel like a Dillon-Schmidt pair could work. Stanley and Demelo have been low event, but they have been effective defensively.

For the forward lines I would like to see some form of Scheifele-Copp stayed together as I have always thought they read well off of one another down low. Connor or Ehlers could work on that line in my opinion. I would like to see Svech alongside PLD a little bit more still. Stas at center>>Stas on the wing. Pairing him with Wheeler should be good as it allows Blake to play at a pace that is more suited for his game now.

Top performers right now:
Best F:
Copp, Connor

Best D:
Morrissey

I disagree with a lot of what you said, but I understand where you are coming from. I think that Dillon-pionk have been very good. They are great at breaking the puck out and are still getting to know eachother. I think we should give them time.

Same with JoMo-schimidt though they are farther along.

In fact, I think demelo-Stanley were terrible defensively and offensively, but they were good for the past couple of games.

I agree with your lines analysis. However, svechnikov probably gets replaced by wheeler once he’s back

Umm, haven't the Jets struggled to score at even strength for years?
