The bottom 6 was great tonight, the top 6 sucked except for Nylander, he was amazing as usual!

Edit
I’ll give Matthews a pass since it was he’s 2nd game and he is AUSTON MATTHEWS

I'm sick of the Marner as a player and want him gone. Too bad Dubas doesn't have the guts to trade one of his precious friends

they should try matthews-nylander and tavares-marner, just to see if they can start producing more if they switch it up. nylander’s been great, so maybe he can help get matthews going and maybe the switch will motivate marner.

He is so streaky that its obvious why hes a #3 goalie at this point.

Like one game he can shutout Mcdavid and the Oilers the next game he cant stop a beachball.

Every time he plays is a stress fest. Either the team has to play crazy good in front of him or bail him out

In general Matthews and Marner did not have a good game Matthews even admitted it. Have a feeling we will see a much better start from them tomorrow as it reminds me of what happened last year with the 2 games against Ottawa. Lets see what happens as if this continues got a feeling they will be split

IMO it was a mistake to have those two playing on the same line on a regular basis. It's fine once in a while to put them together to try catching the other team off guard but balancing out the lines is how you force teams to decide who they choose to play the shutdown players against.

I was not a fan of Keefe's in-game adjustments in the Columbus and Montreal series and even less so now even with it being real early in the season.
