The first ever Eichel trade I see here without a first rounder... Love it! (Maybe Stastny could fetch one at TDL)

Winnipeg wouldn't do that. An injured Eichel that won't play this year doesn't return anywhere close to that much from a team trying to contend. Especially when the Jets don't really need Eichel.

If it was built around Scheifele next year with Eichel fully recovered maybe Winnipeg looks at a deal, but not one like this.

Eichel would be back for the playoffs.

Scheifele, Eichel, Dubois . . .? You might see Vegas and the Avs begin to sweat a little.

Not sure if this looks realistic. Firstly, it seems to me that Jets will not be interested in Eichel, I am also sure Adams will want to return pick or picks in the first round. Vesalainen still hasn't been impressive, but let's say he fits as a minor part. Pionk seems to me just not the type of player that we need.

Perfetti may be worth two late first rounders, and is much closer to contributing. Pionk is a pretty solid player - at least a solid 2RD. He's not an $8m defenseman, but we might have two of those before too long.

As far as the Jets not being interested in Eichel -- they should be. They're close, but as they are now, they don't have the horses to get past Colorado or a healthy Vegas. And Scheifele ain't getting any younger.

Perfetti yes, although personally I have never been too high on him, but this is only my subjective opinion. I thought that Pionk has always been more offensive defender, who will he play instead and will he get time at PP? But I am still convinced that Adams will want to return exactly 1st, along with prospects. Of course, in theory, Jets could be the dark horse to get Eichel. But mostly other teams appear in the rumors.

Well if you're thinking he'll be back for the playoffs, then save the proposal for the TDL. If Eichel is back and playing beforehand and has shown he has fully recovered with no ill effects, someone might take a look at a deal.

However, as is stands right now, Winnipeg or any other team trying to compete now isn't giving up significant roster players and their top prospect for an injured player that from all reports will miss the entire year.
