Gee, Koskinen might be the superior goalie so why trade him? Besides he would have M NTC, and sure Buffalo isn't a trade destination.

He’s super inconsistent and makes too much money. He’s a UFA after this year and he’ll get a chance to start more games in Buffalo but ya would be a tough sell to him

You are trading Koskinen(would be Buffalo's best goalie after trade), McLeod and a 2nd round pick for Okposo... just take a minute let that soak in and revaluate that trade. Its brutal for the Oilers same goes for the Wild trade. Rask and Okposo are not good even at 50% retention. You are giving away assets that could get you actual NHL players not buyout candidates

That's a huge overpay for Rask.

From a Sabres fan's perspective:

Okposo at 3 mill on a cup team would be a great add. The only reason the Sabres' signing looks bad (yeah I know it was terrible for the Sabres given the expectations), is the AAV. He's been a very, very good bottom 6 player and veteran leader for the Sabres.

That said - ignoring the impact he potentially would have as a leader on a young team aside - I agree that anything more than a couple mid round picks would be an overpay.
