Drafting a good NHL team isn't always about getting the best player.. just look at your cap. Oilers would have had to trade 75% of this team away.. likely wouldn't have McDavid or the high picks they had.. hindsight teams are pretty pointless

I wouldn’t trade Tkachuk for Puljujarvi. That barzal one was bad. I dont regret drafting bear or trading him for foegele that line is fire. Broberg over zegras remains to be seen but as of now they have a number one LD and likely a 2LD in Samorukov and could use a 3C.

If the Oilers were perfect at the draft early on, maybe they wouldn't be picking so higher in future years......No McDavid, no Draisaitl.
Why do you think Fox would have signed with the Oilers? He made it known he was going to college to be a UFA a couple years after the draft.
