I don't know that ZAR to DET or DAL makes much sense for either of those teams. Boston's 4th line could use an upgrade IMO.

This is also a move to free up cap space for these guys when/if they're fully healthy.

Those guys really aren't upgrades over what we have on the roster though. I wouldn't bring in another defensive contract unless it is true and obvious upgrade.

Tried making this but DET fans do not seem keen on ZAR. I could see us targeting one of Seattle's RD (Fleury, Lauzon, Borgen), but I dont know if they would want ZAR.

The whole point of this AGM is to free up roster space and money to keep these guys up. Not bring in other bodies.

Yah that's why I responded to the post about bringing in another RD. I would prefer to keep ZAR though. A fourth liner with 15 goal capability while being played in a very defensive role is a nice piece to hang on to.

ZAR is a nice piece. I don't have much faith in his scoring ability and while he's defensively elite, I think the emergence of DOC as well as Simon playing better than he has, I'd rather move ZAR to keep them in the lineup. 2-for-1.

Simon looks to be back to form and DOC has had a nice start, but I think we need to see at least a 25 game sample size for DOC before we move on from an established player. Especially with our injury history.
