I figure Forsberg would stay w/Flyers due to Ellis being there but I could be wrong.

Devils probably pass, as JVR is a minimal upgrade for that money and opens the door for PHI to improve more at center. Not really aiming to help those in your own division. Might find a home for him in DET?

Fair enough point. I chose NJ as I think there's a handful if reasons why that could be a fit for both teams, but it makes sense to think NJ wouldn't do something that would also help a rival.

Detroit would make sense as well

In a scenario where Frost ends up panning out for them, I could see the Flyers making a serious offer to get Forsberg to stay and not going after a C. This team implies that Frost doesn't end up being a solid NHL player and they'd need to add a C, in which case they wouldn't be able to afford Forsberg
