One thing I respect most about Leafs fans is how level-headed they are and how supportive they are of their team. Never met one that came across as completely entitled in my life!

It's funny because (as a non-Leafs fan), there's actually a whole bunch of level headed ones on here...there's just also a weirdly large group of people that hate nice things, and put up their "Nylander/Tavares/Marner/(rare occasion of Matthews)/(Formerly) Freddie Andersen" dart board after a loss, so that they can play everyone's favorite game: "Who the f*ck do I want to blame for this loss!"

It's a pretty easy game-you've just got to throw the dart and blame that player!

Something tells me the same people that make this type of post, are also the same people who were screaming "KADRI IS SELFISH! TRADE HIIMMMMMMM!", and "Freddie is a bum!" all last year...but I suppose we all have short memories.

Ah yes. Let's complain now when the team has struggled (for barely 6 games mind you) but forget the facts that in his 3 previous seasons in Toronto he had PPG rates of: 1.07, 0.95, and 0.89 all while being the captain of the harshest fan base and media group in the league. & let's not forget what he went through in the playoffs last season.

But yes, overrated and complain!

Missing the point are we? using McDavid salary to show how good a player should be is crazy.. McDavid is WAY better than Matthews so by that (dumb) logic isnt MAtthews also overpaid?

Well DUH. Everybody outside of Toronto knows that since 2019...

They would also have been able to sign Matthews and Marner for cheaper and keep Kapanen and Johnson...
