I'm pretty sure Comtois was one of the three that Anaheim refused to trade for Eichel (along with Zegras and Drysdale) so I can't imagine he's available?

They probably should be willing to include him for Eichel (imo). I have no idea why they would consider moving him for anyone other than a big fish like Jack though. So yeah, I pretty much agree.

I dont think he available, it was one of those NPR tweets, that guy is pretty much a hack t this point playing the Eklund and HockeyInsidder game of mass tweeting about X player and X team with the hopes that one of them connects so they can say they had it first.

No, they weren't. There was a rumor (which lasted like 2 days) that mentioned Terry might want out after he got scratched a few times after playing well (horrible decision by Eakins) and it could've been spread by his agent. I think it might have been to put some pressure on the coaching staff and management, but he has been even better since then and management praised him a lot. I'm not sure who spread the rumor initially, but I haven't seen anything about it since. Most Ducks fans now how good he is, but he doesn't get much recognition league-wide.

what I mean but that is GMs always talk about value of players, its part of their job. They want to know what their players are worth, doesnt mean they are trying to trade them. I cant remember what Podcast I was listening to, believe it was 31 thoughts and Burke was a guest on it said that. Said something that most fans woud be shocked to know how much GMs basically shoot the breeze with one another about what they are looking for for players. Thats why trades can come together so quickly sometimes, teams already know what each guy is looking.

I assume any "Terry" in the rumour mills was just that, someone thought they had a beat on a rumour and its the opposite, just GMs doing their jobs talking to other GMS

All of the non-Anaheim guys who have commented here are right -- Comtois isn't on the market unless the return would be ridiculous. He's a 22-year-old power forward who is improving steadily -- just the sort of player you want to have when you're rebuilding. When he's in his prime in a year or two the Ducks should be serious contenders. And Troy Terry won't be available, either. Coach Eakins will go before either of the youngsters does.
