A vast overpayment . When you factor in his important player, singed long term at a good cap hit for a cup contender. There is a kings ransom attached to him yo make it even worth Tampa’s consideration.

Honestly Cernak is pretty much untouchable. Best player at weakest position on an amazing contract. It would take a lot. Plus we'd need a RD (Zub) back and then both teams are just going sideways.

I'll tell you what, I am sympathetic to your cause, so I'll give you the trade price of if Cernak was on the market. Once upon a time the Lightning traded for Braydon Coburn. We paid:
- 1st
- 3rd
- Radko Gudas on RFA ending contract

Now I would add premium on:
1) Cernak > Coburn in their prime
2) Cernak is RFA unlike Coburn when we acquired him
3) Cernak is a RHD as opposed to LHD

It's not my cause as I am not the OP. Not that I don't want Cernak but never really thought hed be available so no point looking into it
