What I'm wondering is whether a new GM for the team can "reverse course" on Kane and Jones.
As it stands he's still the guy, and given USA hockey's track record I don't expect it to change. Even on the off chance it does they won't remove either of those players.
I mean its not really even a discussion for Kane, right? This guy is still the best forward in American hockey history playing at a point per game pace for basically his entire career. Theres no way the new GM even thinks about cutting Kane. Jones is a better discussion. I dont think he should be on the team, but reading the columns where they get other executives to comment on players, it seems the opinion of Jones around the NHL is still relatively positive, which makes me think they dont cut him, especially after he was already named
