I like the deals, I just don’t think the other teams will like them.

If CHI dumps Strome, I don’t think they’ll want an impending UFA. They would rather get youth & picks. You’d have an easier time offering Kulak and a really good asset or two for Strome with CHI retaining 1/2 his salary (and that only happens if CHI commits to a rebuild, which is very possible).

I like the idea of adding Letang, I just don’t think PIT is ready for that. They always have a chance with 71&87 in the lineup. They’d also have to commit to a rebuild in order to make that move.

Yeah I just wanted to show Chiarot has to be moved so included him in the deal but added the description to be clear that the pieces weren't the focus.

Ya, Letang with 50% retention defiantly brings back a late 1st round pick, plus.

He’s still a top 5 Point on the PP in the NHL. Makes very few mistakes defensively. Still had 45 points in 55 games last season. Has been a .75 plus point per game RHD for the past 10-12 years. And still plays 25 plus minutes a night.

Plays both on the PP and PK. He hits, blocks shots, still a top 10-15 D-man in the whole NHL. Again, plays 25 plus minutes a night, still. Has 4 points in 4 games so far this season. Averaging 26 minutes per game.

Any GM that’s team is competitive would be clambering to get Letang for a late 1st round pick. Especially at 50% retention.

Again, a Top Pairing, RHD, top 5 point on the PP in the whole NHL still, plays the PK, plays 25 plus minutes a night, very responsible defensively, makes very few mistakes, great analytics and underlying numbers, multiple time SC winner, was 9th in Norris Cup Voting last season(16th the year prior in 19-20 season, 6th the year before in 18-19 season, should I keep going??).
