Capitals decline right now maybe in 15 games or a little more than that. Can you take Kempny

Can take Kempny but still want a first and a third with half retention.

Kassian is definitely not a cap dump. I am one of those Edmonton fans who’s always believed his size, skill and demeanour is an asset, especially in the playoffs. Now that he’s off to a great start (3-2-5 in 4GP) because he’s got quality line mates, it’s safe to say he’s not going anywhere.

Wild wouldn't have the money to re-sign Larkin in two years, so it's a no for me.

Why not? I'm not familiar enough with them - but I've heard they need a center now.

No way the Pens trade that much draft capital for Bertuzzi. And I’m a huge Bertuzzi fan too. But is Bertuzzi a 1st, two 2nds and a 3rd upgrade over Zucker( a 4 prospect upgrade)

I bet the Sabers would jump on that offer for Eichel. Getting a 1st, two 2nds, and a 3rd.

Plus Zucker should have value to a contender at the TD. Even if they have to retain 1M-2M for 1 more season. Zucker at 3.5M or 4.5M for 1 more year looks a lot better than 5.5M.

I bet if retained 2M for next season on Zucker, he would bring back a late 1st to a contender at 3.5M.

Your expectations for Leddy and Greiss are WAY out of whack. They aren't returning half that.

Wild would have no money to sign Larkin after two years, plus there is no guarantee he would sign. We'd rather have the certainty Rossi brings.

Larkin @ $3,000,000 is worth a hell of a lot more then Marco Rossi and Victor Rask cap dump and a 2022 MINN 2nd round pick and a 2022 SJ 5th round pick you're grossly undervaluing Larkin here.

2 years of Larkin at $3.1m is really enticing. Resigning Larkin would hurt in year 3 and 4 of the buyouts, but I think they can make the cap work and they would have him locked up for after the dead cap is (mostly) gone.

Also no way the Wings should make that trade. If Rossi don't hit his ceiling then it could be really bad for them. It's worth mentioning the unknown longterm effects that COVID/heart thing will have on Rossi in this too.

I have no interest in a player who can't play in 7 NHL cities.

They do need a center, but the next 3 years Wild will be in trouble with the cap due to the Parise/ Suter buyouts. This year this were low hits but next year they will cost the Wild 13 million against the cap and the two years after that about 15 million against the cap.

There are ways to make the cap work but that probably means moving Fiala, Dumba, Greenway, and possibly Zuccarello. Not sure what Larkins next contract looks like, but best guess is 7.5/ over 8 years, but just a guess.

I think all of them are gone anyways except maybe Greenway (by far the cheapest) and not in the team's long term plans. I'd much rather dump Spurgeon and keep Dumba, but his full NTC kills any of that.
