They'll have employed him for a decade by then

Basically no players of his ilk are NHLers from 35-38

Well.

The COL LD situation is definitely getting awkward

But selling so low on Toews seems unfortunate

Holmstrom is no longer an A level prospect with 11 pts in his last 41 pro gp 1/4 of them in the Allsvenskan no less and B prospects usually do better

So very late a 2nd it's basically a 3rd

Colorado is not trading Toews (or any of their other top defensemen for that matter). They need him badly, as is evidenced by their current record. Lou won't be rectifying that mistake any time soon.

Obviously Coloarado is not trading Toews, but I’d say Lou made up for the awful trade by locking up the best D pair in the NHL for 11.9 mill.
