And Mike Hoffman scores against his former team. Sharks legend.

I just saw people on Twitter calling him the best goal scorer we've had since Cammalleri. Pacioretty died?

Watching teams slam there heads against the wall with the same stupid ****ing power play entry is worse than getting blown out 7-0.

Like holy **** every team in the NHL does the same thing it’s not hard to learn to defend against it if your team doesn’t excel at it. And yes SJ, you don’t excel at it.

Bennett was struggling and wanted to leave, doesn’t seem like a fair comparable. Agree with the rest. Not sure which prospect to chose from because Calgary’s prospects all seem meh except those you mentioned.

Whoever is your best goal scoring prospect not named above plus two 2nds and you’d maybe have a deal. That’s IF we’re looking to move him because right now I don’t see it happening because there no reason to do it, but like I said to the other guy theoretically it could work.

Tbh unless you like Matthew Phillips our best goal scoring prospect (not counting Coronato or Pelletier) is probably Ruzicka lol. He'd be our next best F prospect overall imo. He had a great camp last year, and I woulda liked to see him in the lineup this year but we signed a bunch of mediocre veterans instead (Richardson, Ritchie, Lewis). Ruzicka's huge (6'4") and has great hands, especially in tight, plus he's responsible defensively. He's probably more of a bottom six guy, maybe a 3C once he's fully developed. Could maybe contribute ~15 goals a year. I know Bennett was struggling when he was dealt and wanted out, but at the time that trade was an absolute steal for Calgary. That as an age comparable, and slotting between Reinhart and Arvidsson as a skill comparable seems like this is about the right spot in terms of trade value. We can throw in Gudbranson if you want, I know Nill loves big, physical veterans smile

I just saw someone on Twitter proposing to fire Don Fehr and replace him with John Tortorella as head of NHLPA

I’m all for it

Chevy's meeting date has been pushed up. Hes meeting Bettman tomorrow and will be accompanied by the Jets Chairman Mark Chipman.

Lets see what happens as this one could get ugly

If it turns the NHLPA from a spineless waste of space into an organization that’s actually worth something, then I’m all for it too lol

Unless things change Andrew Brunette is the interim head coach of the panthers

This could work out nicely or hurt them bad

Got a feeling if they start to struggle he will be yeeted and they will bring someone with experience (i.e. Boudreau, Babcock, Torts, Boucher)

I wonder whose a candidate who could be in the NHL sooner than expected through either this year or next year.

Example = Nils Hoglander as projections had him making the league in 2023 but he made it 2 years earlier.

I have one rn but Im waiting till his season ends as it could just be an incredible early start.

So, who is your frontrunner to replace Quenneville in Florida?
Really hope it aint Boudreau.....
Would be funny if its Torts grin But then again, if I've understood it correctly, there are no primadonnas in Florida atm. His , less than fluffy, approach might go down quite well there. Hard working team if the rumours are correct.

So Q is out and rightfully so, cannot rejoin the NHL unless he first meets with Bettman. Habs won LFG now let’s beat LA and Ana to show we can still do something

Lol Torts literally said Duclair can’t play hockey. I’m also not sold that his style would work totally well in Florida, like they're pretty solid defensively, but they’re also incredible offensively, and I think he’d try to make them slightly better defensively and potentially negatively impact their offense to the team’s detriment. Notably I think he could potentially have a negative effect on Montour, Bennett, and Verhaeghe. These 4 are reclamation projects who broke out (Duke was with Ottawa but he kept it up in Florida) and that are a key part of Florida’s success. Would be interesting to see how they respond though.

Since the Jackets drafted Kent Johnson I know have an excuse to give a damn about college hockey. Michigan’s off to a good start with a 6-1 record and wins over Western Michigan and Wisconsin as of late. Yay.

We know this fan base loves to forget how good Pacioretty was/still is. Also, why Cammalleri? Gallagher has been a better goal scorer than Cammalleri was in his time in Montréal.

Gallagher scored more goals but I wouldn't say better than Cammalleri, at least not in terms of actual goal scoring skills.
