Gee, don't know why the Sabres or any team wouldn't want as many good young NHL Dman as they good gather.
Actually I don't think the Flyers should do this deal. Right now, JVR is a more valuable player than the injured Eichel.

This. Young talent is fungible. A rising young LD could be packaged for a known asset or a draft move later. Don't sneer at LD prospects with potential.
I think you are in agreement that getting LHD prospects is a good thing.
First, they are prospects, not NHL certainty.
Second, they could be utilized to obtain other desirable commodities in the future.
I would hate to see Karmanos follow Tim Murray's path and trade defencemen (Zadorov, McNabb, Myers, Pysyk LOL our current shut down D-man under Granato) leaving the team with only McCabe and Ristolainen as reliable NHL D-men.
Rejecting a trade for Jack if a good LHD was included is short sighted.
The Sabres need help at every position if they expect to be competitive in a couple of years.
Rejecting the best offer because it does not fill a current need is not smart management.
I agree with your comments.
