Additional Details:

-Our General Manager, Jarmo Kekalainen, was the assistant GM and head of scouting for St. Louis when Tarasenko was drafted, so that may have a positive relationship between the two

-We have been putting together a core made up of a few Russians (Yegor Chinakhov, Kirill Marchenko, Vladislav Gavrikov) and that could make a positive environment

-He could possibly be inclined to stay here because of the lax media attention in Columbus compared to bigger sports cities (bit of a stretch)

-If he could handle playing 2LW and have Rosie feeding him the puck, that could be a very good Top 6 for the Jackets

The trade value is likely way off, but this is just a stopgap.

First of all, Tarasenko never plays left wing. He's a 100% right wing. More importantly, this offer ain't gonna get him. Danforth adds nothing and the pick is three years away. Nyquist might be of some interest, but I'm not sure he's what they need. As for Vova accepting a deal to CLB, I have no idea what he'd say, only that's it's probably getting hard by the game to convince him to go to a non-contender.

You can convince him if he’s gonna be playing LW
It’ll also take a big package to get him
Maybe if Panarin (one of he’s best friends and a guy the he convinced the blues to try to sign was there) but now idk if you have the pull

I mean if he’s serious about getting away from the blues. Jarmo is the dude that drafted him and we have a few young guys who should help us be contenders soon. Worst case jarmo retains and flips him as part of the hand shake deal they come to. As for the package I honestly don’t know his value.
