this doesn't really make sense because malkin is coming off ltir eventually. the pens are better off running the right side my committee with friedman and ruhwedel. they've been great and to keep both of them fresh they can rotate

Aston-Reese is very useful bottom6 player with strong defense, the other two are just borderline NHLers, but what exactly do you get from a healthy scratch d-man? I don't know if this is fair, but Hextall bring him to NHL so I thought, he might be curious about him.

NSH has a glut of bottom six options right now. ZAR would be a healthy scratch more often than not. Friedman and Lafferty don't provide any value for NSH either.The Preds seem pretty high on Myers, given the price they paid for him. I don't think Myers currently getting scratched is much of an indication the Preds would be interested in moving him. More so that they want him to unlearn some of his Philly coaching and work on a few things before he goes back in the lineup, so he can excel when he's back on the ice.
