Description

For me, the priority to lock up Jack Campbell should have been first. The AAV is fine for Morgan, I did think he could have gotten more in the open market. But this contract will age really bad once his skating goes. Even more so if Sandin takes over as the #1 option on the PP. Campbell has proven to be more valuable to the wins/losses for this team. IMO he should have been locked up first. If there is a market for Mrazek next year then I guess he can be moved but I am not a fan of 8 years of Rielly with a cap that is going to be relatively flat (1mil increses) till 2025. And with how brutal ticket sales have been, could be even longer till the escrow is paid off.

Muzzin's full ntc makes it tough. You'd have to pass on Fabbri and Paul...

Sandin should/hopefully will be in the top 4 next year.

Considering the age of that Top 4, it will soon be time to sprinkle some youth on each pairing. Can't see how Rielly can handle 24+ min, and Brodie/Muzzin 22+ min forever.

Go with 3 pairs that are all around the same min next year (or this season if Holl plays his way into the press box).
