How does Eichel fit

Description

How the hell is VGK gonna make the cap work? I sent out almost even cap hits and couldn’t get VGK cap compliant with a 20 man roster.

I guess you could add Janmark but they still only get to a 20 man roster.

Also those that say Dadonov, he’s got a M-NTC and you’d have to think BUF would be on it.

*that’s just a rough draft of a trade by sending money out.

Eichel will be on LTIR for 3-5 months. He easily fits with the cap. Helping the on ice team?? Doesn't really fit....

They have to be cap complaint at the time of the trade and everyone is coming back this season. Cap doesn’t work especially since VGK can’t accrue cap space using LTIR

I put him in the trade but LTIR is complicated and I dont understand it completely but I don’t think it’s just as simple as trading for a guy on LTIR and keeping him there with a team as tight to the cap as VGK.

Don't forget that his cap hit will be pro-rated, so the full $10M won't count towards Vegas this season. They'll have this summer to make moves to get compliant.

Sure but they’re also responsible for the pro rated portions of whoever they send the other way too. Using whole cap hits makes it easier to understand. Plus with them already using LTIR they aren’t accruing cap either.
