How is Marner not on the team then? And Cherry picking recent deals that can't be judged for 2/3 or more deals. Find some contracts signed in 2018 by top 6 forwards that Leafs could have signed instead of JT. How many of those look great today.

Franchise 22 yo >> 28 yo UFAs that are lucky to be 30pt players a few years into their deals.

This is Armchair GM. Like I said in my first comment obviously this isnt a realistic alternative scenario to real life, im just making a team for fun with 22M spent in a different way. Its all fantasy
