Description

Pretty soon the Jackets are going to have too many forwards, and I really believe in their young talent and think they’ll win top of the lineup roles outright next year. Kent Johnson is our Steven Stamkos, and Kirill Marchenko is our Nikita Kucherov - in a few years.

They will be maturing and should be contending for at least two years with Eichel. I believe there is a good chance he would re-sign in that case.

CHI pick is 6th OA. Nemec, Cooley, Geekie, or McGourty.

In ‘23, Vronkov takes over the 3C role and Boone slides to LW, pushing Tex out - he’ll likely be traded barring he performs a miracle, i.e. finds his game and catches fire.

Kent is more of a playmaker tho and if those two are the Stamkos and kucherov then the franchise will compete moreso than contend all told

Bjorkstrand more likely to kucherov even 👀

It's really hard to overstate how magical a wizard kucherov is between his 128 year (relative to era a scoring season on part with Gretz and mario in their late 20s) and his back to back 30 point playoffs, even Kaprizov may never come close to those feats

Anyhow I digress here

It's hard to think of a single way voracek can provide value to the Sabres right now, with laine also being flawed it seems like Buffalo would ask way more

Voronkov 3C for a contender?

(Theoretically)

3Cs on a contender usually have a pts/60 of 1.7 in the NHL (40ish total points) and he has a pts/60 of 1.1 in the KHL rn, he'd have to be a top selke guy then

Minnesota isn't trading Ryan Hartman in addition adding 3rd round pick for a bad , worse player no Matter if you retain or not. Minnesota also doesn't need anymore wingers in Gustav.
