Leafs match that easy. They would make their cap work in other ways.

some team 100% should do this. for just a second round pick, it's not a bad deal for a guy with a lot of potential who's played well, and toronto would really struggle to make the cap work if they matched it.

Don't think Sandin is offer sheet eligible due to his lack of NHL games. But really I doubt if Keith retires

A player must play at least 80 NHL games to qualify. He is at 46. He reach that mark this year. If someone did offer sheet him it would really tighten things even more than they already are

Thanks for the info. If that's the case, wouldn't Montreal and Sandin be much better if the Habs offer sheeted Sandin instead the Habs trading for Barrie?

😂 let’s not have anyone offer sheet Sandin.

Well the problem with the post. Just hoping Keith's 5m and Barrie's 4m contract just disappear, and that Kuemper signs for 4m. Why do non Leafs fans think the Leafs have a big cap problem when the Oilers have just a big issue.

Toronto would match the offer sheet. They would perform their signature cap gymnastics to make it all fit.

Don’t know the exact percentage but I’m guessing what, 90%, of trades on here are very far fetched. But hey, it’s fun, shouldn’t be taken to seriously

A lot of people think that “why would they acknowledge another team’s problems when they can pile on the Leafs hate and blow the Leafs problem’s way out of proportion?”

The Oilers do have to spend their remaining cap wisely, but I am not sure they are in quite as tight as Toronto is. Edmonton's core is locked in for at least four more seasons, and Yamamoto looks to be the only uncertainty among the top nine forwards. With Klefbom on LTIR until he retires, Holland should have enough cap space to extend Puljujarvi and upgrade the goaltending. The entire fourth line and the depth d-men will likely be replaced with players on ELC's or league minimum contracts.

That being stated, I don't think it's in Holland's best interest to start poaching from other teams.

Keith doesn't retire and Leafs will easily match. He also won't sign the contract offer with Edmonton

good idea on sandin offersheet. not sure the leafs will have the space. they'd have to shed a player somewhere else.
