edit: wait i didnt see that u said the trade would be in the 2022 offseason. As a 1 year rental probably a 1st + prospect

Thats what I was thinking as well. Would be nice to get a good defenseman back but our prospect pool is pretty barren right now so futures might be the right call

First and a B+ prospect probably.

He would be effectively a rental so I don't think you would get a roster player (although ideal would be a young RHD).

After seeing how he played in Tampa and Van, I always thought he'd be the perfect winger for McDavid. Now that we have Hyman, no space for him but I would have easily traded a 1st + decent (not top 3) prospect. Maybe even add a 3rd or something. He's a great player
