I don't mind the idea of the Chicago deal but liljegren shouldn't be included for depth reasons this year.

He just got sent to AHL but i agree. Worst case, they can claim Riikola or Ruhwedel off the Pens and should be set.

Are you expecting Soupy to walk this offseason? Or for a core member to be traded?

No, liljegren is a better option. He was only sent down for cap purposes.

I think Liljegren being sent to the AHL was just a paper transaction. I expect he will still be in the line-up for the next few games at least.

Unfortunately I don't expect him to be in the lineup, Holl will be back in tomorrow.

I don't think Chicago would accept. While Flowers and Strome both are likely to get traded, Kerfoot is not a positive for them nor is lillypad. A late 2nd round pick is really the only real value for the Hawks and they can do better with Flowers and Strome.

Leafs get worse with the Chicago deal now and in the future.
Only benefit to the Arizona deal is the Leafs rid themselves of the a 2.5m Ritchie. On ice not much of a help, but Arizona declines. Again one of these crazy post where the Leafs have 5.3m in cap space, then they trade NHL Dman for nothing, just so they can a 21 man roster and only six NHL Dman
