I felt that this team was going to miss the playoffs, but didn't think they were this bad either.

What is clear: this team NEEDS a legit 2C (Dvorak isn't it, and never was for me), and a puck moving D (or maybe two, as Niku has looked solid in a small sample size).

Spending $4.5 million in Hoffman knowing Danault was gone was a gross miscalculation of what this team needed up front. Having $3.4 million in Armia on the 4th line is terrible cap management (even Dubas and Co. wouldn't do that).

There are opportunities here where Bergevin can move money around to fill what are obvious holes, but this start is so bad, I am not sure there is a point.

yea i agree about everything. pmd and 2c were top priority and he traded a fortune for dvorak who is just ok at best. niku doesnt cut it. need a top 4 pmd. keeping armia is just a waste of cap. that money could have been used elsewhere.

Yup.

Right now, an Armia for Strome deal is worth looking at.

As for the PMD..... well, they don't grow in trees. Not even sure who to suggest there.
