Troubled young center swap

Description
Could this work to help stop the bleeding in MTL? MTL just can't keep going with this shoddy bottom 6 center depth... I think MTL adds a 2nd, but it could potentially be left out. CHI get another center will alleged upside on a 2 year minimum deal and a pick for their troubles

I don't necessarily think this fixes all of MTL's problems, but no bottom six centers have certainly hurt them up until this point. Maybe this can help drive the play for the wingers

I’d do that in an instant.

Edit: If it’s next year’s 2nd. This year’s is essentially a late 1st.

This was made by a Rangers fan. And how does Montréal getting a deal on Dvorak mean they need to pay more for Strome?

I see absolutely no problem with a Strome to the Canadiens trade. The Blackhawks get rid of a player who's projected ceiling has collapsed upon itself and the Canadiens get a shot at someone who could in some world turn out fine.

Habs don’t have space Hawks would need to take Armia, Lehkie or Byron with this trade

You're not wrong, but I am a NYR, MTL, DAL, and CGY fan all together : P

I see the Strome trades to so many teams but haven't seen it mentioned to MTL before, thought I'd throw the idea out there. I think it could work out

You're right that Byron coming back hurts it. I didn't include that in this trade because we currently are not sure when anyone is coming back, and it's always possible someone else could go on LTIR before Byron returns. I think it would need to be a separate deal as CHI wouldn't really need any of those pieces anyway

Because Strome to MTL makes zero sense

Yeah, you're right man. Perrault, Evans, and Brooks as the bottom 6 centers are working out really well, and Poehling is right where we want him, why would MTL bother trying a low risk high reward young center swap?
