Vegas has no reason to bend the knee. Eichel won’t be ready till playoffs if that. I don’t see any trade happening till off-season.

Eichel is threatening to file a grievance this is pushing a trade to happen very soon. Reports are that a trade with Vegas may happen in the next few days.

Vegas said Hague and Krebs are untouchable, if theyre giving up on Krebs to facilitate this, they definitely arent throwing in Hague and Buffalo has no reason to be persistent on him, they dont need him

Krebs isnt adding much right now, Tuch is out, and Vegas likes big moves and big players, him being out till playoffs and losing nothing of impact right now is a bonus for Vegas

I would like this to be done, i think we all would, provided the compensation makes sense. My understanding is eichels camp could file a grievance with the nhlpa, specifically regarding his treatment. His treatment is ultimately decided by the sabres medical staff (he could do whatever he wants, but an unlikely consequence is that he could have his 50 million dollar contract terminated). Im wondering how the nhlpa is supposed to hold the sabres feet to the fire- trade him now regardless of return- uh no. Ok, sign off on this procedure that your own medical staff wont agree to, and agree to pay him his 50 million if it all goes wrong- uh, no. I think theres a reason that two agents have both had a chance to grieve this and neither has chosen to do so- they dont have a leg to stand on.

I also want this. So that afterwards we have a final say that will set the bar for future issues. Regardless or who wins, there needs to be an outcome so that it’s understood by players and teams moving forward. Missing 2 full seasons over this issue is stupid(regardless of who is at fault)

Krebs + Tuch this is what we need, but I absolutely do not understand why we need Hague with such a depth of LDs in the team and system.

It would be hilarious for Eichel‘s camp to file a grievance with the NHLPA now. I believe everyone knows he would never win or it would have been filed along time ago. The Sabres have not broken any rules, they are fully within their rights to determine the best medical procedure to treat his injury according to the NHL CBA which the NHL PA has agreed to. Of course filing a grievance would only be about as funny as the ridiculous statement his former agents put out that made him look like a whiny **** when he hadn’t been traded by the beginning of free agency. But that’s why he fired them.

That's where you are wrong...the sooner Vegas has him the sooner he gets the surgery he wants, thus the sooner he is added to the line-up. It all leads to the TDL when Vegas and make the necessary moves to make the cap work or they pull a TB move for the playoffs. The TB move with Eichel would be a bit different bc he has never played with the Vegas players and system so I'm sure they would like to give him time to adjust to the team and get some games under his belt .

How many months does it take to recover from his surgery and get back to game form? This isn’t a broken finger or toe. Also, nhlp/BUF/JE are coming to a head where something will likely be forced, it’s not Vegas’ responsibility to make this happen by any means lol. Therefore I’m right smh. from timelines I’ve heard, he won’t play this season and playoffs is unlikely but still possible. I get that you want a monster deal done for your sake but no teams are responsible for bailing you guys out of the JE contract. The very fact that you guys are better without him should be disconcerting to most not to mention the gamble that he can be back to game form for this season if at all. BUF will need him to get the surgery and be rehabilitating so teams can see what his future will look like in order to get the “asking” price they want. It’s why no deal has been made. Tuch is injured, krebs and Hague aren’t exactly superstars and picks are disposable for a contender.. yet Vegas won’t budge.. it’s on BUF and JE to start the process and the NHlPA needs to step in to guide them before a deal will get done.

According to Emily Kaplan of ESPN the trade is at the "1 yard line" between either Calgary or Vegas. The estimate for Eichel to be on the ice after surgery is after the all star break. I do agree why all the love for Krebs as he hasn't proved anything. I don't see a monster deal coming even if Adams gets his asking price. Lets face it the wheels will be coming off on the Sabres shortly, the talent level just isn't there and like in the last few years they jump out of the gate than slip to near the bottom of the standings.

I think Adam's is using Calgary as leverage against Vegas to get what he wants but that's just a guess. We will see if this gets done by the end of the week
