Kings have absolutely no interest in Dermott. They say no.

Moving a dman is a bold strategy when your next man up becomes someone like Dahlstrom or Menell...

The only way I'd be comfortable with them moving a dman (Dermott) would be if it's for, or shortly followed by a legit Holl upgrade with a bit of term.

Leafs need a defensemen that can play a full 82 games for me to be comfortable with moving one of the defensemen

Biega can also be called up and Dubas could go bring in Demers on a league min deal to

Quite sure. I wouldn't doubt that LA is looking for a defenseman, but it will be for a right-hander to hold up the 2nd pair while Doughty and Walker are out. There's absolutely no need for another left-handed D-man that is not better than Anderson or Bjornfot.

Interesting we meet so soon on the other side of the coin. Yes I highly agree with your assessment. Also don't land Kempe anyways

Cant see moving a dman and not getting one in return.

Theres a reason Menell and Biega are in the minors, because they just arent that great. And neither is good enough for top 4 play and neither is a solid partner on that 3rd pairing.

Do the Leafs need better forward depth? Yes. But making the defense worse is not the answer.

(Never mind that Dermott is a pretty average 3rd pairing defenseman who's barely getting 14 minutes a night the past few years, is not a crease clearer or a pt producing puck rusher. Hes a capable 3rd pairing guy who plays 13 minutes a night, thats not worth a whole hell of a lot)
