They should go after him...need more than Ghost to get it done but definitely should get jets talking

Good luck getting Trouba. I bet you end up with a low end crapper I.E. Kevin Miller or Adam McQuaid if you're looking for a stay at home RHD. We'd probably trade you one for a 3rd round pick or maybe a 4th. They are serviceable, but just not dominant.

We currently have one. How many times do Flyers fans have to tell you people that out D is one of the worst in the league?

If Trouba was traded, suddenly a young RHD with top pair potential becomes the Jets #1 need. Jets have no interest in Lyon. They need a proven NHL tender, not someone with slightly better stats than Comrie.

We'd want Phil Myers instead. If Trouba still wanted to leave and Tyler Myers is healthy and playing again I'd think about pulling the trigger on Ghost and Phil Myers or Sanheim,, Phil Myers +

I've often wondered about trying to pry a LHD from the Flyers, but my scenarios always had us using forward prospects to do it.

Not even close for Trouba, It would take Ghost+1st round pick+A solid prospect at least to get Cheveldayoff's attention.

Ghost is a top 10 D-man who has only played 2 years or less in the NHL. He has great potential to become a great 2-way defender and so does Provorov. You're asking price is high for a player who waited until after the start of the regular season to sign

Seems Jets fans are looking for a kings ransom...shocking. lol.

All i'll say is if he's happy playing in Winnipeg, and they are willing to pay him...then you guys have a point. If he signed a 2yr deal with a behind the scenes deal that he'd be traded before the deal ended, then Chevy isn't dealing from a position of power.

If the first scenario is true then Myers will have to be traded, coming off injury he'll have to be moved on the cheap.
If the second scenario is true then Trouba will get you more...but i doubt the ransom you are looking for.

Same problem with the sabres. We have 2 good goalies but people dont understand that Gorges is our 3rd best D man when he should be a 7th D man at best

If you think Mason is a bad goalie then your opinion doesn't matter.

And you also don't seem to know what the flyers have in the system. How about you go worry about your Rangers and stop talking about **** you have no clue about.

Okay everybody chill. We can all just say that Buffalo's and Philidelphia's defence is pure ****, and that while Lehner and Mason arent going to lead a team to a Stanley Cup, they are starting goalies and it isnt their fault that their defence stinks. And thats the end to that.

I agree with this and apologize if I was being too critical of everyone else who posted in this thread. I still believe the two goalies in question are in the middle of the pack league wide. Sure they would be better with better defenders, but I really don't see many other teams going out of their way to try to Acquire your guy while giving up their #1 and more assets on top, which leads me to believe they are average. If they aren't upgrades over half the other teams in the leagues goalie situations how can they really and truly be considered a good goalie? If you still are battling this please list the ten to fifteen goalies in the league who are #1's who you think your goaltender is better then, so we can all see how fairly you are ranking your goalie vs other teams goalies. If you are really fair and you do come up with 15 goalies who are their teams #1 option who aren't as good as your goalie, I will give you full credit.
