to all those that are on here that repeatedly said eichel would command multiple firsts, multiple young roster players, and multiple good prospects. LOL.
Interesting start to the morning. @TheInstigator76 is correct. Jack Eichel has been traded to @GoldenKnights. Alex Tuch and picks part of the deal. Details to come. Trade call pending.
OMG, it's happening, who knew this time it wasn't just your typical he's getting moved in ????. Good deal i would think until we have a better idea on Eichel's health
7.2 and change to fill out 5 rosters spots and get two scratches will be tough. Especially if they are going to try and re-sign Campbell. It's not impossible but all of Kerfoot, Ritchie, and Holl would need to be moved. I could see one maybe two
Remember when Weekes (and Flames/ Buffalo “insiders”) said Tkachuk, 1st, 1st, 2 prospects were offered and instead Buffalo ended up with Tuch and Krebs lol.. good times.
I’m glad Elliott’s came out last night and basically said it was BS
Eichel went for about what I thought he would. All the people who were insistent Krebs was "untouchable" gonna be quiet for a while.
Also lmao at the first being top 10 protected. Sabres may of not had any leverage on that but it's a kick in the nuts.
i remember seeing the demand from bruins fans for eichel being like 3 firsts all unprotected with roster players and other prospects going back too and then its this and you just laugh cuz its the same as the RoR stuff. Sabres should have moved eichel at or around the draft. they didnt and lost all leverage.
I really don’t love the trade for Buffalo - but it’s a fair return. I’m just not a fan of Krebs, and I think Tuch is a 3rd liner who can’t really perform in a top 6 role consistently
bc it happened so early in the morning the worst part about this trade is i dont even have a cool story for when ppl ask me "where were u when the eichel trade broke??". like they couldve at least waited until noon smhhhhh
Currently re-drafting 2014 and it's harder than most drafts. Feels like most players are in the same Dvorak-Kapanen-Olofsson-Labanc-McCann-Sanheim tier.
Tell eichel he can have his surgery, and take your time coming back. 10m of ltir space right there. make moves to be cap compliant in the offseason.
I'm positive they'll do their utmost to get the guy healthy before the playoffs since by that point he's gone full year without any hockey. And with a grand total of zero playoff games he's basically a rookie in there, so it'd be ideal if he had some feel on the ice before the real games start. And that's why I assume they'll be doing some cap gymnastics before the deadline.
I don’t think he’s gonna be traded this year and possibly not next. Their asking price is soooo high it’s stupid. Everyone remembers what happens with lindros, nobody’s paying that much.
How. They aren't a favorite to win the cup and they have no cap space to improve the team. They actually have to trade decent depth for more shots in the dark. How many Thornton's are there to 1 Spezza in terms of gambles paying off?

I was fully asleep and found about it an hour after the trade was done during a morning sh*t
Yeah doesn't break any news outlets that one. Nothing to see here.
