Description

Just need to clear one of Smith or Dadonov (Smith would actually get a return bc he can easily be flipped with retention). They’ll do any of these trades at the deadline so they can stay in the playoff race til the top line returns. Then just another $2-3m (aka Stephenson who would be worth a bit and relegated to 4C or wing).

They don't need Dadanov with Eichel on roster, plus he costs a hell of a lot more. They're better off with Smith. And I would still look to move him before next year when it all comes crashing down anyway.

I'd still try and snag Stephenson from Vegas if we could, if I was Guerin. I like him a hell of a lot more than Dylan Strome, who would be the second guy I'd be targeting right now.

Definitely agree there. Stephenson wasn’t even on my radar, but that Eichel trade obviously changed things. He’d cost more than a 3rd, but he’s def of interest.

One slightly used, somewhat inconsistent, middle-six powerforward... who happens wear #18. 😁
