Not available, but good value on the offer. Wings would probably take that if he wasn’t our hometown captain face-of-the-franchise… but he is.

I don't think Larkin is available unless the offer is stupidly good. It's a solid offer... they probably think about it for a bit but ultimately decline.

Value is not the issue here, this is a completely fair offer, but he's our homegrown captain.

If Calgary offered this Detroit should do it and continue the tank, pump Monahans numbers then flip him and sign Larkin once he becomes a free agent.

Detroit is Larkin's home town team. If Yzerman had any doubts that Larkin didn't want to stay in Detroit he wouldn't have made him the captain.

Zero chance the Illitch's allow Stevie to do this. And I don't think Steve would either (remember the Yzerman to OTT offer that the Illitch's killed years ago).

Did you know since the 1986-87 season only 4 players have worn the C in Detroit. I know it doesn't mean much to a lot of teams but it does in Detroit and that tradition was started with Yzerman.

No thanks Detroit passes, Larkin > Monahan. Valmaki isn't a need as our LHD pipeline is our strength. Not that it's a bad offer. But we can get far better then this if Larkin were made available.

The only way Larkin will ever be available is if he says "I want out". Value isn't the problem just Yzerman won't move him hes the capt and a hometown player.
