Personally I’d say Bert is worth a little more than Tuch, but that might be a bit of homerism speaking. Both comparable in that they bring elements to their lines that can really change the game, just that Bertuzzi plays higher in the lineup and has been on fire recently. The fact that he can’t play in Canada kinda evens them out though.

Maybe replace Joseph with a guy like Bjorkvist or Hallander. Not too much though, Kapanen is a valuable asset on his own and I would say he’s pretty close in value to Tuch, so don’t overdo it.

I agree Bertuzzi better than both Tuch and Kapanen. Even without Detroit giving up a pick Detroit still says no.

I take Bertuzzi - the 9 games he has to sit out over Tuch.

One Question. Do you think a fair offer for Tuch (without using the guys in the DET trade) is Rust, ZAR, Prospect, Pick?

Depends on the prospect and pick, but it looks like a decent offer. Rust would likely be a rental for Buffalo, and considering his age he wouldn’t be a fit long-term. If the prospect is intriguing and the pick is good it could be worth it for Buffalo, but if they’re both just “alright” I don’t think they would want to move Tuch for a rental based on their current situation. Just feels like it would take a little bit too much to make it happen, as both teams would likely have better proposals for Tuch and Rust on the table that fit their needs.

I'd say Bertuzzi isn't getting traded but who knows I have no idea how Yzerman feels about Bertuzzi's refusal to get vaccinated. He did just have disc replacement surgery. I don't know if that would effect his recovery and since the vaccine is brand new I'm not sure anyone knows how it would or even if it would have an effect at all. Since his surgery could play a part in his decision not to vaccinate and he is averaging over a point a game this season I think it's unlikely Bertuzzi gets traded for now at least.

Detroit 100% passes, Bertuzzi is better then any of those pieces Pittsburgh is surrendering. No thanks we'll keep Bert.
