Why wouldn’t he sign in NJ?
Solid organization
Team on the rise
Uncle is the GM
Plenty of cap space

I want to see this team on the rise actually....rise first...
I get Hamilton signed here, but his options seemed limited for whatever reason for the price he wanted.

🙄

It seems like half your function on this site is just to automatically decline any MTkachuk return even if it's quite generous and reasonable like this one

This is effectively better than the Eichel return

Yeesh

🙄

That's the original Buffalo ask for Eichel though

That they didn't get... for Eichel 😐

Granted his RFA status but

Golly

At least that 1st gets very low

Holtz plus Mercer? Are they adding Lindholm, or what?

These aren’t Kravtsov, Andersson, Hajek level of prospects we talking about here.

So either you’re blind or you can’t read or you so fixated on some saying something negative about your franchise you just choose to not acknowledge what they say

I think he had plenty of suitors and likely wide range of $$ and term. Not sure I see how that impacts this deal though.

You said he doesn’t sign in NJ, he just takes his QO in Calgary.

Those aren’t his choices. His RFA rights would be traded from Calgary.

A lot of things, to start…

1. Playing hockey
2. Playing hockey well
3. Playing hockey well enough to reach NHL

Any of those work

Ok say Calgary trades his rfa rights to nj he refuses to sign so you give him his qo which I believe is 9mil (so he’s not signing your 8mil offer) for 1 yeah then after that year he’s a fa and walks

And Kravtsov can't crack the NHL on a team with one of the worst RW depth

Top 6 wingers (panarin, kreider, kakko, laf) gallant isn’t going to play him in the bottom six. When you have “grit” players in Blais and reaves on the wing then add in goodrow. But keep thinking what ever you pull out of nowhere

Devils have plenty of young forwards that are better than Kravtsov.
Holtz is among them.
So is Mercer.

Kravtsov hasn't really produced anything notable yet, so I wouldn't keep your hopes up.
