Kypreos: Confirms a few teams are interested in Holl, but what's stopping the trade is that they have no defensemen to give back. Also mentions that the Leafs want to get tougher on the blue line. He also says that they want a Gudas type of defensemen

Interesting idea. If Bortuzzo is better than Dermott then wouldn't Leafs need to add in the trade? Also, the Blues can't afford to take on additional cap so doubt the math works here.

He said Bortuzzo as an idea, but his point is that teams have been saying that the Leafs want a tougher defensemen (like a Bogosian)

Chiarot (50 percent retained) for Holl + would make sense

"no material discussions" with #Leafs re: extension. "Whoever said we’re talking is full of crap. The bottom line is it’s frickin’ November. People need to relax and let him play hockey”
