Vegas accepts, then flips Newhook and the 1st to Buffalo for Krebs and Tuch, then lose in the cup finals to the capitals, then the Eichel saga starts all over again.

Who cares, You're nearly $1,300,000 over the cap and still 3 players short on the roster. Besides the Vegas offer was better anyways. And good luck offering MacKinnon $11,000,000 in 2 years with Eichel on the roster.

Yeah the last part is probably imo why Eichel didn’t happen to COL that and the insistence that there be no retention, because I don’t see how if the reported CGY offer was real that they didn’t take that.
