Our team on paper isn't as bad as the performance suggests, the systems in place aren't working with the players available. I don't think Byram would be thriving in our system either.

Whilst an Eichel trade would have been interesting, if we weren't going to win this year, will make it tough cap wise moving forward as VGK are about to find out.

We are already recalling Beaudin up…that the official punt on the season move. I imagine hardman and entwistle go back soon and we get a Miraculous PPG Alex Nylander to save the year just enough to give us a mediocre 1st round pick…oh wait a minute nvm.

Hawks will disintegrate over the next two season most likely. Here’s to hoping we get Jeremy Roenick 2.o soon.

I agree we will be bad this year, but I will say I thought Beaudan looked decent last year. Kalynuk should be back soon as well who was even better

Oh I don’t disagree at all, but leading up to that draft I thought Turcotte was a lock to CHI and COL was going to take Dach glad I was wrong because Newhook sliding to 16 just made it even better for the Avs.

If we could go redo things...we'd move up from Boqvist to Quinn. That's the real adjustment we should go back do.

I was sold it was between byram or turcotte and I was leaning Byram because we needed a #1 LD badly. more than center. Toews had a resurgance that year and strome played really well

Quinn went ahead of us so i'm not that beat up. Byram both went one pick after us and I was sold w\he was going to be a blackhawk pre draft as were many other hawks fans. My pre draft board was:

Hughes
Kakko
Byram
Turcotte
Cozens
Dach

Glad to see I was wrong on Dach, but Byram was my guy at that pick

Byram was my guy too. I'm quite happy we took Dach instead. Both are great players. What's up with Kaapo?!?!

Agreed wholeheartedly with this. These systems are so awful, you could put anyone out there and you'd see similar results. That's a fact because we've seen it happen for the past 4 seasons. This team has so many new players yet looks the exact same as the previous years. It's pathetic that Colliton still has a job producing essentially the same results four times in a row.

If only we got podkolzin. Trading away Seabs and gettin Pod from VAN would’ve been amazing.
