Lol Reilly Smith would be a cap dump. Definitely doesn’t not get back a first and a fifth That’s literally like saying the difference between Eichel and Smith is Tuch and Krebs lol

Nobody is helping vegas get under the cap by giving them premium picks. you'll get 5 and 6th rounder and Vegas will have to add sweeteners to move them

Good luck next summer for Kelly McCrimmon, With a $82,500,000 salary cap that leaves slightly less then $4,000,000 to sign 11 players. Vegas is majorly screwed next summer. A lot of expensive contracts will need to be moved.

You are not getting anything remotely close to a 1st for smith. The whole league knows Vegas has to dump cap.

Once you take the 3 nhl players off LTIR, the 2 off IR, and send players down to the AHL that were replacing them it is 16 players with just under 5 million in cap space. And I’d expect Roy, Hague, Dugan probably replace Smith, McNabb, and Janmark. Then that gives them about 3 million to sign 3 4th line/extra forwards.
