If Eichels time table works like he believes it should he will play for the Knights and most likely will then also play for the USA, I'd say he is the USAs second best forward after Matthews so they definitely need him.

I'm iffy on Eichel being healthy in time. He'll need to be back and playing full contact ice hockey in 10 weeks time. If it happens to be he does come back healthy than 100% you bring him as the 2C.

10 weeks? Is that the deadline for Team USA? I think he's shooting for 12-14.

I just figured they would want to see him back in actual action before saying he's 100% ready to go for the Olympics. Realistically the NHL breaks for the Olympics 13 weeks from now. I also feel like Vegas might try to talk him out of it given the entire situation.

Oh yea, for some reason I thought it was end of year, he ain't making the Olympics
